NOW – a quick update with regard to the temple construction activities to all devotees ….

1….the construction for Main Sanctrum for Lord Ganesha is complete till roof level and we have already laid the roof….

2….the construction for other sannidhis are completed till roof level, the roof is yet to be laid;

3… the Gopuram base work is completed to the ground level;

4…..the uplifting of the temple level by few feet is completed;

5…..wall around the temple site is already erected up to 7 feet from the outer ground;

6. kitchen is constructed with slabs and roof is about to be laid;

7. pillars for the maha Mandapam in front of Ganesha Garbagriha is completed;

Appeal for Donations

For Temple’s permanent construction

With the Divine Grace of Sri Sankatahara Ganapathy, we have been moving forward towards the completion of permanent abode to the Lord.

We are indeed excited to share with you that the foundation stone/ground-breaking ceremony for the permanent construction was conducted on June 14, 2009 in traditional geity by eminent Shivacharyars from Tamil Nadu.

However, it took us some time to obtain the necessary clearances from various government agencies and we could start the permanent construction only in November end 2009. Now, we are on right course to keep the project on fast track and plan to accomplish this project by April 2010.

The new revised plan will have a hall in the ground and 1st floor for conducting religious functions at the back of the temple. Besides the main sanctrum for Lord Ganesha, there will be separate Sannidhis for Lord Shiva/parvathi, Sastha, Karthik, Krishna, Hanuman and Navagraha. We will also have Gostha Devata’s Vishnu, Durga, Dakshinamurthy (Guru), Nritya Ganapathi and Brahma. A maha-mandapam and mahagopuram will be constructed in the front.

The cost of construction for a permanent abode is estimated at Rs. 75 lakhs which is raised from devotees, approaching them personally or through appeal. Currently, we have collected Rs. 29 lakhs, and the remaining fund of Rs.46 lakhs is being raised currently. Please note that the donation amount is tax exempt u/s 80G of Income Tax Rules.
