Hello

I am not able to see tamil fonts in thinnai site.

I tried to set, ‘Use document specific fonts including Dynamic fonts ‘ . But in netscape 7.0 i can ‘t find this option under Fonts tab!!

Can you help!

There was a reference to the ‘Five Immutable Laws of a Tamil Serial ‘ in the letters article. Here are those laws.

Five Immutable Laws of a Tamil Serial.

The First Law: The collective Intelligent Quotient of the producer, director and the script writer shall be at least ten points lower than that of a none-too-bright chimpanzee.

The Second Law: The characters in the serial shall broadly fall under these categories: imbeciles, morons and idiots. But the complete idiot shall always be the investigating police officer.

The Third Law: The rapist shall, without exception, be a super-stud. One encounter will be enough for him to impregnate the victim, whatever her age.

The Fourth Law: The number of coincidences strewn along the path of the protagonist shall be equal to or more than the number of rose petals strewn on his or her nuptial bed.

The Fifth Law: God shall finally intervene and bring the serial to a close – only when his patience is tested beyond endurance.

இரா முருகன் எழுதிய வாயு குறுநாவல் தமிழ் குறுநாவல்களில் முக்கியமான இடத்தை வகிக்கப்போகிறது என்பது நிச்சயம். முதலாவது எவரும் எடுத்து எழுத அஞ்சும் கருத்து. இரண்டாவது அதனை விஸ்தாரமாக டெட் பீட்டாக எழுதக்கூடிய இரா முருகனின் திறன். மூன்றாவது, அடிப்படை பொருளைத்தாண்டி இன்றைய வாழ்க்கையின் பல விஷயங்களை யோசிக்க வைக்கும் கதையின் வீச்சு. முருகனுக்கு பாராட்டுக்கள்.

சமீபத்தில் சில நல்ல முக்கியமான கதைகள் திண்ணையில் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. கவிதைகளும் சிறப்பானவையாகவே வருகின்றன. வாசல் இல்லாத திண்ணையில் யாரும் வந்து கவிதையும் கதையும் அரசியல் கருத்துக்களும் சொல்லலாம் என்ற விஷயத்துக்காகவே திண்ணை பாராட்டுக்குரியது. அதன் காரணமாகவே திண்ணைக்கு கல்லடியும் விழுகிறது.

திண்ணையில் விவாதக்களத்தில் கருத்துக்களை எழுதியவர்களுக்கு இப்போது கருத்துக்கள் இல்லை என்று பொருளா அல்லது அவர்கள் திண்ணை ஆசிரியருக்கு எழுதிய கருத்துக்கள் பிரசுரிக்கப்படுவதில்லையா என்று தெரியவில்லை.

சின்னக்கருப்பன் சமீபத்தில் எழுதுவதில்லை. ஏனென்று தெரியவில்லை.

கல்லடிகளோ பூங்கொத்துக்களோ, திண்ணை ஆசிரியருக்கு எழுதப்படும் கருத்துக்கள் அனைத்தும் இங்கு பிரசுரிக்கப்படும். ஏன் எழுதுவதில்லை என்பது சின்னக்கருப்பன் அவர்களிடம் கேட்கவேண்டிய கேள்வி.
