An evaluation of Meera Nanda ‘s articles by S.Aravindan Neelakandan is available at Sulekha.com at URL: http://www.sulekha.com/expressions/articledesc.asp ?cid=307440

Some of the sections of this article has already been published in Thinnai as part of various articles. Next week, I shall also offer a detailed account of the different scenarios on the Origin of life and how origin of life from ‘inanimate ‘ matter without the intervention of any superior intelligence, does not violate ‘life begets life ‘, provided editorial board of Thinnai finds the article worthy of publishing. To those who cannot appreciate or understand the beauty of their phylogentic relation to chimps or pigs, I would like to paraphrase the reply T. H. Huxley gave to Wilberforce, at a meeting of the British Association in Oxford on 30 June 1860,thus, ‘I repeat, that a man has no reason to be ashamed of having an ape for a grandcousin or a pig for a grandgrand cousin. If there were an ancestor whom I should feel shame in recalling, it would rather be a man, a man who despite the light of evidence shinning before his face, would kneel in submission before some medieval fantasy ‘ (with due apologies to dear old T.H.Huxley)

Thank you.
